Fried dough, oh my!

Ingredients

  • 227g (1¾ c) flour

  • 113g (½ c) water

  • 10g (2 tsp) salt

  • ½ tsp baking powder

  • 5g (1¼ tsp) yeast (optional, not authentic to the original)

Instructions

  1. Mix ingredients in a medium bowl until combined

  2. Knead by hand in the bowl until the dough forms into a smooth ball

  3. Wrap dough in plastic wrap and refrigerate for up to 8 hours

  4. Divide dough into balls about 2-3"

  5. Flatten into disks

  6. Fry disks in 350°F oil. Drain on paper towels
