In the early 80's I worked for the Kansas City Kansas Fire Department on the Kare Unit as a Paramedic.
I trained at the University of Kansas Medical Center in their 1500 hour Emergency Mobile Intensive Care Technician (EMICT) program. I graduated around 1980 and was hired by the KCKFD shortly thereafter.
Anyway, a group of us, about 10 Paramedics and Firefighters went on a 10 day float trip on the White River in southern Missouri.
JP, one of the paramedics on my crew sent me this pic a couple of years ago.
I can safely say my creating Irresistible Spaces grew out of this original jankey arrangement I made for rain protection.
You remember that first time you went camping and it rained?
Sitting in the rain in a Poncho, thinking, "This is Fun. What if I hung up a little tarp to protect me from the rain?"
Then, later, "if I put up a little bigger one I could have a dry chair to sit in"
Then
"If I made it a little bigger I could have a second chair and invite a friend in to be protected"
And so on, until
