Laura Harvey is an interdisciplinary educator, artist, and researcher specializing in the intersection of environmental change, visual arts, and colonial history.
Laura's work explores the intersection between environmental relationships, colonial history and the visual arts. She has done extensive historical and practical research into colonial dyes and pigments such as indigo. She also designs curriculum, workshops and museum exhibits to help students and the general public learn about local histories and plants through craft. From this foundation, she also has journalism experience on environmental issues and the arts. Currently, she teaches with Aspen Center for Environmental Studies in Colorado.
