In the beginning of each incarnation, there is a profound and often unseen contest—a cosmic interplay where souls, guided by their karma, vie for a new life. As Paramahansa Yogananda shared, “The first contest of the soul in each incarnation is with other souls seeking rebirth.” This isn’t a competition of ego or ambition but of purpose. It is a return to the earthly plane, where karma seeks to harmonize itself within the intricate web of heredity and experience.

The moment of conception is marked by more than just the biological fusion of sperm and ovum. In the astral world, a flash of light signals the creation of a new vessel for the soul. This light is a beacon, transmitting a divine pattern that draws a soul whose karmic path aligns with that family’s hereditary blueprint. It is as if karma, like a cosmic sculptor, shapes the soul’s path long before it manifests in the material world. Only one soul, however, will triumph in this sacred dance, entering the new life to work through the lessons and unfoldments of its past actions.
