Bio

Nourished to the sound of jazz and classical music, VP grew a taste for electronic music quite early and started djing UK Bass in his teenage years. In the late 2000s he launched his own music label and helped many underground artists get their entry into the scene. Mainly found at club nights in Europe and all the way to Japan during that time, he shared the stage with the likes of Noisia, Goth-Trad or Plastician until 2013 when he decided to pause and focus on music production.

Four years later, he established his studio in the heart of Paris, setting up new rules to drive his own output. Just a couple of synths and small boxes to paint sonic wonders ; it is with a picture in mind that Verbo Pluriel puts his machines to work. As the jams build-up, sonic objects are dubbed into space-time oddities.

Autumn 2019 saw the first of the Effigies release on Vague Seconde, garnering support from the likes of Varhat and Roger Gerressen. Quickly followed “Hicks EP” on Irenic, a split 12” including “Fullness” in March 2020.

As COVID hit he stopped recording and started selecting works to continue the series on Vague Seconde. Around the same time he gained interest in blockchain technologies and started creating crypto art collections (Moonbase Rovers / Council of Old Ones), collaborating with other artists (Based Ghouls / void_sessions ) and making a name for himself as volt46.

Ultimately he chose to use this medium as a vector not simply to put his music out but also to provide his supporters with much more than just digital files. A process that took two years to complete and eventually concluded with the release of the Effigies NFT collection.
