Over the Summer of 2023, I memorized 5+ hours of tour script and led public and private tours of Harvard College and Harvard Business School. I have continued for past 2yrs!
Background
My first adult job!
I applied to be a tour guide for Harvard Student Agencies during finals week as a side hobby. Little did I know it would be the most fun and most rewarding work experience I have had yet. I gave tours to people from all walks of life: young or old, domestic or international, and legacy or new to Harvard.
I had a special knack for curating tours based on audience interests and needs. This led me to become the highest-rated (12 five-star reviews) and compensated tour guide. Through individual reviews, I increased the company's TripAdvisor rating from 4.5 to 5 stars for the Summer of 2023.
So after Summer 2023, what did I decide to do? Keep giving tours! It has become one of my favorite activities to do on Harvard's campus. I recently paused on giving tours in May 2025, after 100+ 5 star reviews, over 300 tours completed, and lots of $ in tips!
